Introduction to Wound Management

This programme is an introduction to wound management. It covers basic knowledge required to assess a patient with a wound, classify the wound and make treatment decisions. This short learning programme should be seen as the stepping stone to further learning.
Certification

Upon successful completion of this SLP, students will receive an automatically generated Certificate of Completion backed by MANCOSA and issued through blockchain.

Febe Bruwer
In 1996, Sr. Febe Bruwer achieved her B Cur degree (cum laude) from the University of Pretoria. From 1996 until 2000, she dedicated her skills to working in High Care and ICU at Unitas Hospital. In 2001, she furthered her education by completing a postgraduate course in Medicine Management and Physical Examination at the University of Pretoria, with practical experience gained at Kalafong Hospital.
In November of the same year, she embarked on her journey as a private nurse practitioner, and she has been successfully running her private practice ever since. Expanding her expertise, she obtained a postgraduate certificate in Wound Care from the University of the Free State in 2005. In 2006, she advanced her studies in Wound Care at the European Wound Institutes in Hamburg, Germany.
In 2011, she completed the International Interdisciplinary Wound Care Course at the University of Stellenboch, in collaboration with the University of Toronto in Canada. Presently, she operates a Wound Care Clinic in Symhurst, Germiston, while also contributing her skills as part of a multidisciplinary team at Life Roseacres Hospital in Primrose.
