Good Clinical Practice

A good clinical practice certification can help you improve medical practice standards in the field. With only approximately 17% of South Africans having access to medical aid and the remaining 83% of South Africans reliant on state funded healthcare services, there is a significant divide between the levels of care and resources available in the private and public sectors. The landscape is also changing as new funding models are explored and the move towards a national healthcare insurance is encouraged to create more equitable access to healthcare for all South Africans. The rapid development in technology has created a more informed and selective patient and in so doing increased the importance of a customer centric and outcomes-based service from healthcare providers.
The MANCOSA skillME Good Clinical Practice short learning programme (SLP) has been developed by industry experts to assist healthcare professionals in keeping abreast with contemporary principles of good clinical practice. This course seeks to reinforce the patients’ rights when engaging in healthcare services and the responsibility healthcare providers have to provide the best care possible, while keeping sight of the current changing healthcare landscape within the South African context.
